What to expect

No idea what this is about? Watch impressions from past hackathons.

What is a hackathon?

Hackathon is a portmanteau of the words “hack” and “marathon”. In our case it is an event in which people interested in computational sensing collaborate intensively on software projects related to this topic.

Who will attend the event?

We try to get a good mixture including software people, designers, people from various industries, students, technology enthusiasts and many more.

What type of technology will I be able to work with?

You will be able to develop apps with Kinect, Unity3D, Project Oxford, Cortana, Microsoft Band and IoT Kits. For every technology experts are available to get you started.
IMPORTANT: If you bring your own computer and you want to develop an app with Kinect, you will need USB 3.0.

I have no idea about computer vision. Should I participate?

Yes! The workshop is intended to train you on these topics. Throughout the whole event experts from Microsoft Corp. US and Germany and Metrilus will be there to guide you and help you.

What should I expect at the hackathon?

First of all you should expect a lot of fun. You will learn a lot about new technology and you will meet new people and be able to make new connections.
